121.5 mhz going away?

I want to get the Breitling Emergency Mission. it has a ELT that sends a 121.5 mhz. are they really not using that mhz and doing 400mhz?

As I understand it, 121.5 is being phased out. It will probably take quite a while to do this because of all the existing transmitters out there. The problem with 121.5 is that it is susceptible to interference. The newer units aren't as prone to interference and send ID information with the emergency signal, including GPS. The newer unit is really a better deal. However, I don't know the cost.
