Spirited Away questions?
I've watched the anime Spirited Away recently but I have a couple of nagging questions.
1. Even though Haku promised that he would go back to his own world as well and that he and Chihiro would meet, we never really saw him in the real world, did we? How do we know that Haku would be able to break free from Yubaba? Surely the old witch wouldn't let him go so easily.
2. What was the charm that Haku stole from Yubaba's twin sister? Why is it so important? What was its role in the story?? Just for Haku to steal it? It must've been important because Zeniba sent paper birds after Haku.
3. Who was No-face and why does he like Chihiro so much? Does he play some specific role? Why did he get so...aggressive in the end? He used to just stand there looking at Chihiro until he started eating people (as in the citizens..or whatever).
I hope I can get these questions answered. I didn't really enjoy the movie because there were so many unresolved questions.
Thank you very much!
1.Haku couldn't go back to the real world because he wasn't alive in the real world anymore. Remember he was the spirit of the Kohaku River, and that river dried up. And I challenge your statement about the witch letting him go so easily. She wanted to kill him, remember?
2.What Haku stole wasn't a charm it was a seal. The charm was that little black thing that was killing Haku. The seal was important because if it was broken Chihiro would be able to go free.
3.No-face was just a wandering spirit. He liked Chihiro so much because she was nice to him. His role was to pretty much get the ball rolling for Chihiro, because if he hadn't she might have not done some of the things she did. I think the reason he became aggressive or crazy was because either the smells from the herb baths or the commotion and chaos the people in the inn cause.
