Citizen Depth Watch
strong>citizen depth watch
What do you think of this response?
I asked a question earlier about Feeling Safe in the USA, and if people did? I then showed them where Bush states that he is using the maximum provisions of the law to get those pesky terrorists. I then stated that the Military Commission act, if the max provisions were used, could include every citizen in this nation, sort of like making this country a mass concentration camp/police state, etc. You know, the way it looks and feels.
Anyway, someone responded as below and I found that answer thought provoking. What do you think of the response below?
"So far the instances that I know of where these were used were cases where there was a connection to a known or suspected terrorist, terrorist group, or supporter of a terrorist group.
To successfully conduct the type of in depth "spying" that you are implying would require that half the population of the US would be employed by the government to constantly watch the other half. I really do not believe that will ever happen."
1. "So far the instances that I know of where these were used were cases where there was a connection to a known or suspected terrorist, terrorist group, or supporter of a terrorist group."
Interesting, this person bases their opinion on "the instances that I know of...". When did this become declassified information? If the TV people say, "....only involves terrorists"; then the term, "terrorist" evokes a specific image and the statement becomes fact. No curiosity is raised. Some people require only a bell, in order to salivate.

This person should, at the very least, view the movie, "Enemy of the State". There is no grasp of technological reality; fingerprint cards are still examined by hand in that person's "reality".
Mentioning the Military Commissions Act of 2006, in October, resulted in glazed looks and mutterings of "only terrorists are affected" or "Habeas what"? and the ever-popular, "It couldn't happen here"!
Did you know that , "The liberal philosophy of 'turn the other cheek', was a major cause the 911 attack"? We were weak and the 'haters of freedom' were emboldened....
