Why do most marketers not concentrate on senior citizens?

Senior-marketing?"
This is for my Advertising class - thanks.
I think two reasons.
One is that seniors are perceived as not having money to spend. Since they're retired, they live on fixed incomes. It's stupid, because of course they still buy things.
Another reason is just that society doesn't like to think of seniors much at all.
It is definitely an under-served market.
