Who can help a U.S Citizen get back their passport being withheld from the London US Embassy?
The passport is being withheld on order from The Attorney General's Office for outstanding child support payment arrears.
The court order was set up between the Attorney General's Office and Her Majesties Royal Courts.
The HRMC have sent a complete payment record to the Office of the Attorney General and a letter from the HRMC's legal office stating that this court order has been fulfilled.
The custodial parent has called the Office of the Attorney General and stated that all child support payments have all been received.
The Attorney General has not responded to the phone calls or records sent.
The U.S. Embassy needs the O.A.General to lift the lean on passport in order to release back to citizen.
sounds like there are other issues at play here. Child support sounds like a guise. Perhaps they are checking into tax records too.
