nixon lodown red
how do you keep from a nixon lodown watch from fading?

i have a red nixon lowdown and the polyuthrene straps (or however) you spell that) that go around your wrist and turning like and orange how can i prevent that?
please help.

you might try tucking it into the sleeve of your wetsuit so it gets less sun exposure. and also make sure to rinse it off with fresh water when you're done so the salt doesn't eat it alive. to that end i might also rub a very thin layer of petroleum jelly on the straps from time to time to help keep the salt out. the straps really shouldn't fade though, since that watch was made to surf. you might consider writing nixon a letter to complain. i'm sure they would replace the watch or at least the straps.
