With the fortieth anniversary of Kent State upon us, could we be headed for a repeat of May 4th?

Both Nixon and Obama campaigned on platforms which vehemently declared they would bring an end to the war, and both failed to deliver, rather they moved in the opposite direction.
Both then and now our nation was/is deeply divided, sometimes to the point of violence.

Have we learned from history? Or are we doomed to repeat it?

@Willfred Mont, it appears you are conveniently forgetting that Nixon escalated the war by attacking Cambodia, unnecessarily, before even attempting to pull back.

I asked a question about 2 weeks ago in which I pointed out all of the bizarre similarities between obama and Nixon. Of course, it got deleted by leftist censors but the parallels remain.
