How do I install my son's car seat?

I have a Cosco Alpha Omega Convertible 3-in-1 Car Seat and I have the most difficult time putting it in! It is being used rear-facing right now and as little as my hands are I can't fit the seat belt through to buckle it in. So of course my husband can't get it buckled and we share the 1 car seat to 2 cars for our son. I am flight attendant so we do this often! It is torture! I don't want to buy another car seat! There must be an easier way. Can anyone help me?
I got it at Babies r Us and I took it there....they said they can't install it because if something were to happen I could blame them! I even talked to a manager and he said the same. I took it to the Fire Dept. and they helped me install it, but that's not my problem! I know how to it's just very difficult and I think I am doing something wrong.

As dumb as this sounds I actually used a wire hanger to pull it through cause I was tired of breaking my fingers trying to get it. Like you we had one car seat for 2 vehicles at the time. Just open the wire hanger up and make a loop with one side then put it through the back of the car seat. Attach the wire hanger through the seat belt hole where it clips then pull it through. I just kept the wire hanger on the floorboard of the back seat. I always wondered if I was the only one that had problems. I was honestly glad when I had to moved to a larger car seat/booster seat.
