Natural cures for ADHD?
My son was diagnosed with ADHD. After 6 years of no medication and a lot of problems in school, I gave in and allowed him to be on medication. Within 2 years he has tried 4 different medications- which have not worked. I've decided to take him off of the medication and try a natural way of curing it. The doctor told us to try: Vitamin C, E, Magnesium, and Omega 3. My question is how long will it take to notice a difference? I know that it can take 4 weeks or more for natural supplements to get into your system.
I also had him tested for bipolar disorder. He's seen 5 therapists and 3 of them said he doesn't have a problem, he is just being a boy.
I heard that stripping sugar from a child's diet can dramatically help. There are some natural products online that are supposed to help; but there is no guarantee they will work. I would suggest finding a licensed alternative or holistic physician in your area. There may be internet communities that can suggest a reliable doctor.
