mechanical or quartz?

i'm looking at getting a nice analog watch, but am torn between quartz or mechanical. for one, I think mechanical is classic and gentlemanly, but quartz is supposedly more accurate and modern.

btw, i'm thinking about an Omega Speedmaster Professional (the "moonwatch"). what do you think?

The quartz will be more accurate. You should be able to find a quartz watch that looks just like a classic watch from the outside. The moon watch is a nice looking watch.
