Need help with Ripple Afghan!?
First, I found a pattern for a ripple afghan. So the lady stated in her pattern to make it in multiples of 16 plus 2. So I chained 34 (16+16=32+2) to make a swatch to check gage and also first time doing a ripple afghan wanted to make sure I would do it. The swatch was all wrong no matter how many times I did it, it still came out all wrong. I think the swatch guidelines was incorrect. So, does anyone know where I can find a free easy ripple afghan pattern.
Second, I am wanting to change colors every 2 rows so I need advice as to what colors would go great together. I really like the modge podge of colors whether than pick one color scheme. So far I have brown, white, pink, sage green, and lavender. Are those colors ok or what colors would you recommend?
~Thanx for your help!~
Forgot to add that this will be about the size of a twin/full-size bed.
~Thank you!~
i know what you mean, in horrible when it comes to gauge too. what you can do is simply chain about 34 or so and compare that to the bed your making it for. if it seem too short for you, then chain on additional 16. keep going in that fashion until your at the size that you would like. then just follow the pattern.
what you can do with those colors is rearrange them. you can try brown, sage green, white, pink, lavender. the #1 thing is that you like the colors if you do and go for it. let us know how it turns out. dont forget to show us a picture.
