Swatch Green

How do I find out what colors come in the paint that I wanna buy?
I grabbed some paint swatches from Home Depot today and need to know what colors come in them before I buy it.
I ran into a mishap a couple weeks ago when I bought a "chocolate" color that had this HORRIBLE green in it. When I painted it on, it was baby poop green! ACK!
It is called a color code. Colors are but a mixture of the base colors Red, Blue,Yellow, White and black.
These make the trillion other colors that you know. All different formulations.
Green is "blue and yellow"
The colors have weight and will settle out if the paint stands for an extended period of time. (weeks, months, years)
Shake it in the store and then run a clean stir stick thru it scraping right to the bottom of the can to see if you can find any "thick stuff" which would be undissolved colors not back into solution yet. Squish it, or break it up somehow so that you can stir it back into the paint so that it is uniform in color all the way thru. Otherwise you do not have the exact color you had picked out.
Paint factories have done what they can by putting
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Stir before using.
What more can they do?
Even white is not just white. It could have "blue or brown or red in it just to kill the brightness of the white."
