What is the shelf life of hair dye I have already mixed?

Okay, so I got two packages of Revlon Colorsilk in Bright Auburn. I dyed my extensions first and then lightened my hair in preparation. I had already used one bottle and mixed the other to let it set up. Soooo...with my swatch tests I am showing I need to lighten up my natural hair even further with a low volume lightner before I can dye it.

My question is, I have the dye mixed in a plastic application bottle and stored in a cool dark place. Will this dye still work 12-20 hours from when I mixed it?

I don't think it will work. A hair color mixture has a lifespan of about 30 minutes.
