Omega Speedmaster vs. Tag Heuer Carrera?

Looking to get a good chronograph and can't seem to decide. Each watch has its pros and cons. Omega has in house made movement, yet it is manual wind, not auto. Tag has a date, Speedamster doesn't. Tag has sapphire, most speedies don't. What are some opinions out there from other watch enthusiasts? Which would you pick and why?
