Buying 'premium' watches on the web?
I am interested in a Tag Heuer Watch. Tag Heuers' website discourages would be purchasers from buying via the internet as they state 'the goods could be fake, substandard quality or devoid of factory warranty'. There are a number of apparently large, established, bonfide jewelers advertising Tag Heuer Watches for sale at discount rates on the net - some even have almost 100% feedback rating on eBay after thousands of sales. If Tag advises not buying watches from them, where are these retailers getting their supplies from - especially when they can offer them at cheaper cost then the manufacturer? This does not only apply to Tag, nearly every manufacturer is offered. Ideas or recommendations welcome.
