Tissot Automatic Watch

How good are "replica" watches?
A friend brought back some "replicas" of automatic watches from China. In those with a skeleton back (where you can see the movement), they appear to be very similar to the original. In this case, the replicas are Tag Heuer and Tissot. The Rolex does not have a skeleton back, but is does have an automatic movement.
Does anyone know if the internal parts are often copies of the original? They appear to be to my non-expert eye.
There are two basic automatic movements in replica watches, either an "Asian Automatic" or a "Swiss ETA" movement.
The Asian Automatic is made in Asia and the Swiss ETA in Switzerland and all replica watches have either one or the other.
(NOTE:) All replicas are made in Asia, either Taiwan or China even though they may contain a Swiss ETA movement inside the watch. Their are no replicas made in Switzerland, Italy or any other country no matter what the scam sites on the internet claim. ALL REPS ARE MADE IN ASIA ! PERIOD !
Either movement may be decorated to resemble the original.
By the way, we have a forum dedicated to replica watches where you can learn everything you want to know.
