Tissot or Hamilton Watch?

I have narrowed my watch search down to both of these brands, I know I want an automatic, its basically between these three watches: 1. Tissot Le Locle Automatic Watch (Black Strap) 2. Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic 40mm (Borwn Strap) or 3. Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Watch

I am mostly concerned with the longevity and durability of the watch, I'd like to keep the watch for a very long time. Please offer your opinions. Thank you

I own a Tissot, and I bought it in 1991, so I know it is good. Hamilton has a good reputation, so I would not hesitate to buy one if I saw any I needed or wanted. Just consider which has the look you like best, and which is proper to wear the way you dress. One can always own both dress and sports watches, as I do. I wrote several books about watches. Tissot is swiss and founded in 1853. hamilton is american originally but now swiss. These watches you mention here have ETA 2824 movements that can be made quite accurate with some work.
