Considering purchasing a Lucien Piccard watch. How do they compare to better known watch makers?

I want something at least as nice as a Seiko, preferably more like a Tissot. I found a couple I like on Overstock.com for great prices -- heavily discounted. I've found some information on their older watches, which I know are more valuable, but just want to have an idea of how the current watches compare with other current watch manufacturers...

I would appreciate any information you have about these watches. The online reviews are very good -- great value for the money, etc. But, frankly, I want to know -- would I just be buying a fancy Pulsar?? Thanks!

The Seiko gets my vote for value recieved for money spent. they make great watches and you know you're getting a quality piece of jewelry. For the 82 dollars you are willing to spend at Overstock, go to a jewelry store that carries Seiko and buy a Seiko. If you spend a little more, so be it, it's worth it to have quality. Trust me. It costs less to have one great watch you can rely on then buying two crappy watches that will fail. It's simple math.

Seiko has a great warranty, too and most jewelry shops carry replacement batteries for them, some will replace them free and can fix your watch if it ever breaks.

Beware of Overstock. I have gotten burned by them in the past. Stick with brands that you know are good from there and don't assume they have the lowest price on anything.
